If you are new to Finches and the supplements that a lot of owners use here is an explanation of two of the ones that are used by Finch owners. FinchG
POWDERED KELP is a dietary supplement designed to address iodine deficiencies in birds. Iodine is required for proper thyroid functioning. Iodine deficiencies can result in difficult moults, poor feather condition, breathing and singing problems, inactivity and poor breeding. POWDERED KELP provides the extra dietary iodine needed by Australian finches and eliminates balding in Gouldian finches. MIRACLE MEAL is a complete, highly nutritious, all-natural soft food for birds and contains the correct balance of protein, carbohydrates and essential fatty acids necessary for proper growth, breeding and immune system functioning. MIRACLE MEAL is fortified with lactose-free whey protein and contains a full spectrum of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. MIRACLE MEAL is made from the highest quality human-grade food ingredients and contains no added starches, fillers or food dyes and is ethoxyquin free. MIRACLE MEAL is recommended for birds in all stages of development and is especially useful during the breeding and molting seasons, and for raising young chicks.

Enclosed scoop holds one level teaspoon. Feed POWDERED KELP to young and adult birds daily year round. Sprinkle ½ teaspoon over one cup of fruits, vegetables, soaked seed or softfood OR offer as a free choice in a treat cup.
